I got an email from Tiffany interested in engagement pics about 2 weeks ago. She saw Grant and Joy’s engagement pics on my facebook page (like me please!) and turns out, she’s a fellow Trojan too (so I instantly knew she was cool)! Through our emails, I found out she was getting married at the end of January…HOLY SMOKES! So we met up this past weekend to document their engagement before they take the big plunge. Unfortunately, I do not have the privilege of documenting their big day but I had a TON of fun getting to know these two. Turns out we share a couple of friends too.
This is Edwin. He’s hilarious and I like him because he’s a man who knows what he wants. I like it when couples have suggestions on locations & poses and are up for doing anything! Then there’s Tiffany. Man, she’s going to be a gorgeous bride…beautiful inside and out! I can’t wait to see pictures of her on her wedding day!
This was right before the sun went down. We rushed to downtown hoping to avert the Chinese New Years celebration and lucky for us, we did! We got there just in time to snap a few shots. I’ll end with this shot. We had a lot of fun setting this one up and Elvis (inside joke), you and your girl rocked the shoot! Congratulations!

Now isn’t she just the cutest lil’ thing?
Awwwwwww, I’ve known Joy’s family for a long time. Her brother is my classmate and I’ve known him since elementary school. Her older brother and I also go way back — those stories for another day! :) I’ve always thought of Joy as “little Joy”, you know, Ray and Brendan’s little sister. Imagine my shock when she asked me to photograph her wedding! Little Joy is now taller than me (like wayyyyyyy taller!) and oh so beautiful… she and Grant are just the cutest! I also have NO idea what Joy is doing these days but she needs to be a stylist because she picked out the best outfits. As I told her, “nice eye-popping complimenting colors but not matchy matchy”.
Ummmmm, can I say Anthropologie ad? Love. this. picture.
I made them hike through a wild field of pokey branches to find a shady spot. Once there, I made them move around to find the perfect light. Right next to them was some soiled diapers and wipes. Not kidding!
The rain held off, we had lots of fun and I can’t wait for their big day in 2012!
